We respectfully request that every Canadian who cares about people's right to healthcare, regardless of their sex, race or pre-existing health condition, such as Multiple Sclerosis, get neighbours and friends to sign the attached petition.
Your completed petition will need to be delivered to your MP by September 6th, 2010 so that they may present it at the next sitting of the House of Commons on September 20, 2010. Please note, french version available soon.
Please find attached:
1)Instructions explaining what you will need to do; this document also includes a cover letter that you can send to your MP.
2) the PETITION
Although health matters are the constitutional responsibility of the provinces and territories, the Federal Minister of Health does have the power to convene a meeting of all the other Ministers of Health. This is what we are respectfully requesting in the petition.
As well, we strongly encourage individuals in each province to start petitions that are in accordance with the individual province’s rules. We will gladly post them here.
